I found a guy selling a set of axles from a 95 YJ with 4.10 gears for $225. I only need the front axle, and he is willing to let it go for $150, that leaves the Dana 35 for $75. Would make great spare axle shafts, open carrier, 4.10 gears, complete drum brakes etc... I am probabaly headed to pick it up tommrow, so if you want it for $75 let me know and I will pick up both axles. I tought about buying and parting it out on ebay, but I already have (2) 8.8 rears and I will soon have a set of YJ axles with 3.73 gears sitting around. Only have so much space for projects.

If anyone still wants this let me know and I can put you in contact with the guy I bought the Dana 30 from. Good guy, he is running 38's with a Hybrid Dana 60, Dana 44 combo. Dana 300 transfercase, NV4500, behind a 318. Full cage, gas tank inside cab, all very hard core stuff.

I don't need another D35, but I would be interested in one of those 8.8s for the rear of my XJ. ;D Are you still running a 35 in the back of your YJ?

Still have the D35, but not for long. By picking up the Dana 30 out of a 95 with 4.10 gears, I now have all the major pieces for the swaps. The 8.8 that is going in has 4.10 gears and a limited slip. I will be moving up to 4.10 gears( from 3.73), 4 wheels disc, rear LSD, and stronger front U-joints!!! The 95 YJ's use the same 297x u-joints as the TJ's and I am planning to swap in some Spicer 760x ( same size as 297x) which are another 20% stonger according to spicer. The guy I bought the axle from left the new version of the Rubicon Express track bar relocation bracket on the axle which is a much better design then the one I have. The new Curie U-bolts came in a few weeks ago, and the Tom Woods Drive shaft I bought came with the 8.8 to 1310 adaptor, So I SHOULD have all the parts I need minus the odds and ends for the brakes.
As soon as I get some free time I am moving into the garage to start wrenching. Between replacing my gargae door openers, setting up Christmas lights ( I go a little overboard according to the wife) and dealing with the in-laws I havn't had time to start.
I am going to hold onto the spare 8.8 until I get the one w/ 4.10 in. I want to make sure the little stuff like brakes work. The other one I have is out of a 98 w/ 117 miles, 3.55 gears and open diff. It is complete from disc to disc.

Those are my current gears. I wouldn't even have to mess with the front axle. I really want to go to 4.10s though. My XJ drives ok, but it does a lot of downshifting when going up hills on the highway.
