Title: 2001 XJ Sport
Post by: kirksjeep on December 08, 2012, 12:10:13 AM
Jess' new SUV has arrived and it is time for me to sell the XJ.  Below is my craigslist add.  I am willing to negotiate a lower price for all JT4x4 members.

Sure am.  It gets a little better gas mileage and Jess dropped $3K in repairs while I was deployed so I need to keep it a few years to get my money back out of it.

It was making a grinding noise I the front end, so the dealership swapped out the upper control arms, struts ( took out my lifetime warrantied Ranchos), new front drive shaft, strut mounts and a few other things.  It didn't fix the problem, so when I got home I still had to fix it.  It was the passénger side CV shaft and intermediate shaft splines were gone.  I was about an hour worth of work and cost me $150 to fix the original problem.  I will never recommend going to the New London Jeep dealer, the took advantage of a woman who just knew there was a problem and the dealership kept charging her more money and Easter egging their diagnosis instead of doing their job.
