Title: ARB Prices
Post by: calvynandhobbs on January 22, 2014, 04:57:34 PM
Not sure if any of you are looking for lockers, but I just ran across a thread on another forum that said JCWhitney has their ARBs for $377 so I checked it out. The D35 and the 8.8 are $377 and there may be others depending on what axle you're using.

I was too late according to another forum. People were all over it yesterday and of this morning they still show the price, but they are out of stock and there is no clicky button to order.

Thanks for getting my hopes up ....just to crush them. :-\  It would have just sat in a box for few years until I am reunited with my YJ.

Believe me, I had my own hopes up. I've been going back and forth between Detroit and ARB for the 8.8 I'm putting in my YJ. I've had Detroits and I can drive on the road with them just fine, but there's something about having a selectable that is swaying me that way.

If you could have gotten an ARB for that price, I would do it, but a a Detroit or a lunchbox is fine for the rear, save your money and get the selectable for the front!

That's what I just did (pretty much) when changed axles in my TJ. I put a Yukon Grizzly locker in the back and a OX up front. No way I wanted an auto locker upfront considering the amount of driving in the snow I do.
