Welcome

Welcome to the forum! I just left CT so you will probably never meet me, but it's good to see someone with a stock rig taking interest in being as crazy as we are. Best of luck. I recommend looking at the things we've done to ours in the Members Rig's section to get some ideas and then do what you like best. People are all going to have opinions about the parts. Your best bet is to find the most Objective ones and go from there. Everyone has their brand that they will swear by. You need to find what works for you. Basic questions are easy though. Bushwacker flares or Tubes.. Tubes if you can afford would be the obvious answer. are they necessary? absolutely not. are they bad ass? fucking a right. lol. So again, welcome! I wish you many safe wheeling trips w/ the club. They're a good group of guys/girls.

welcome man.

Hey Brad, sounds like you are at where I started a year ago. With the help of these guys on the forum and some reading I now can climb ridiculous rocks that I never thought I ever could and I just found out this past weekend that I like going really really fast on snow covered trails. I have a budget boost if you are interested.
-
Yea I am interested in the budget boost (footman) how height is it? I hopefully can build the TJ over the next year I am looking at getting a 5.5 rubicon express long arm with 35 claws. Mossin I give ya a call tonight about the hooks how you much you want for them?

If your going to go long arm, I've found that clayton makes a hell of a lot better product. Very beefy. i've seen guys drop the entire weigt of they're rigs onto the arms, and barely dent the steel. check em out www.claytonoffroad.com and they're right in waterbury ct so theyre local and very good with customer service.
-
x2 for clayton. I have NEVER heard a bad thing about their stuff, and have seen some of it get beat on pretty hard.

welcome to the forum. def look at members rigs.

If you do get a tacoma, don't drive it like hot rod!
-
if you do, check for rust. there is an issue (toyota is buying back at 125% blue book excelent condition price) for a lot of the due to rusty frames. you could make some $$ or get a new frame
