Title: pots and pans
Post by: reg on January 25, 2008, 08:02:35 PM
my wife is looking for a nice set of stainless (not nonstick) pots and pans.  don't really want to spend over $200.  so does anyone have suggestions?

so far this is the one we are looking at: target link (http://www.target.com/KitchenAid-10-pc-Cookware-Stainless-Steel/dp/B000CSIELC/qid=1201287782/ref=br_1_2/601-6259553-0066505?ie=UTF8&node=15751071&frombrowse=1&rh=&page=1)  other one (http://www.target.com/KitchenAid-Brushed-Stainless-10-pc-CookSet/dp/B0001FSYQ6/qid=1201287894/ref=br_1_6/601-6259553-0066505?ie=UTF8&node=15751071&frombrowse=1&rh=&page=1)

Here is what we have, the only difference is the lids are not glass, ours are stainless. We have had the for a few years and love them. They cook great, the thick bottoms boil water quickly and also keep things from sticking. But if stuff does stick the clean up just as easy as teflon coated. I'm pretty sure they sell them at the NEX for around $100.

I didn't buy a set, i was able to buy individual pots/pans to make my own set.  The set had stuff i didnt' want, but i wanted stuff not in the set.  Prices were good, too.
