Just wondering if there is any difference between axles from a 6cyl and a 4 cyl? I'm just trying to stock up on extra parts.
-
Not really. The gear ratio maybe. A Dana 30 is the same for the TJ and ZJ from 97 to 06. Same with the Dana 35. An axle from a 6 cylinder will have either 3.73 (manual trans) or 3.07 gears (automatic). A 4 cylinder will probably have 4.11 gears. If it's just the shafts you're after, then they are all the same. 27 spline for the Dana 30's and 27 spline for the Dana 35's.

So a 35 shaft is no good in a 44?
-
No. A Dana 44 has 30 spline axle shafts.

I just got a set of Alloy USA shafts from 4wd for 299. (with seals, bearings, couplings) Since they're stronger, I have the stock ones as backup.
