I have already done the steering box spacer (between box and frame), and plan to install front frame stiffeners. Wanted to gage opinions on a brace that clamps the steering box and ties it in to the inside of the passenger 'frame' :
Something like this:

Any experience good or bad?

I don't have a JK so I don't know if they have issues that would need a steering box brace or if they even make them for JKs. I used to have one in a CJ7, but they were known for twisting up or cracking the frame under extreme pressure. I could see the frame flex if I had somebody turn the wheel at a stop and that went away with the brace.

He is talking about for use on his XJ.

I run a very similar one on my YJ, works great!

Where did I come up with JK from? LOL His pic is even his XJ. I don't see where it will hurt with an XJ. I've heard of lots of issues with ripping steering boxes out of the unibody frame or twisting the unibody frame up around the box.
