Attempt 10 if you remove the shafts on a d30 the unit Bearings will come a part and when they do they will cause your wheel to fall off and when it goes you will need new calipers and rotors and pads to prevent all this from happening you should make sure you have good axle seals so you don't pack mud in your diff and cause it to lock up and when it locks up do not remove the shafts you will have to leave the stub shafts in place so your unit Bearings do not come apart when this happens your $150 repair becomes a $450 to $600 repair so i think it will be looking for a set of d44's

Now that only goes for the YJ's right?  I have had my TJ's front axle shafts out like 3 times and have never had a problem with them or anything else like that.  Sorry for the bad luck.  That sucks.

No they all run the same style unit bearings and they will come apart i drove about a mile and then lost all breaks then my wheel fell off i had to fix it in the middle of the road just so it would move so tonight i am picking up new unit bearings and just putting the stub shafts in and looking for new axles i want locking hubs
