YOU HAVE GOT TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME!!! >:(

So I was all excited today because my bar pin eliminators and drive shaft came in so i was a set of front shocks away from finishing the jeep. I got to the shop and went to work on the driveshaft. I started to work on the rear shocks except for the fact that I COULDNT FIND THEM BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT IN THE JEEP ANYMORE! This was targeted. My Hi-Lift Jack, Stock driveshaft/parts over 3000 dollars in rims / tires, dual stabalizer, etc. were all left alone.  Ok so as if that's not bad enough, Zach (unintentionally) decided that while backing off the lift, my small cherokee would be something that fit under his tires.. Apparently not..  so now my rear quarter is dented. WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY! :'( :'( :'(

Man I'm totally sorry to hear that!  If theres one thing that really ticks me off is when people steal!
Is that place on base?  They dont have cameras there?  Did you get the MP's involved(fingerprinting?)

It is on base. They dont have cameras. The base police showed up and offered to sell me a set of studded mud tires for the snow. (not really sure why you would stud a set of rock crawling tires) and when i told him what happened, he told me that sucks and have a better day..

Thats totally f'd up and completly unacceptable.  Is there someone you can goto that higher than the MP's that would listen?  It sounds suspiciously like the MP's and the shop manager are in on it together.

do you have comprehensive coverage on the jeep?  It should cover stolen property from it.

i have comprehensive. It has a deductable though. so no use there. I dont know if there's anyone higher. and i thought the same thing about the police officer that showed up.. that maybe he was in on it too. he stuck around way too long asking questions about what i was doing. in any case, she got put together and i got her out of there.. i'll finish it in the driveway i guess.

The base police is not going to do anything, unless there was a witness or solid proof of who did it. The same scenario happens when a theft occurs in the barracks, file a report with security, hope you find your stuff on your own. Security is not an investigative unit, and if they acted on every accusation of suspicion they would be worse than the KGB. As far as insurance I don't believe that the shop is liable for anything.

The shop knows that they aren't liable, which is why I think it was an inside job.

WOW!!!

your only problem, is that it was left on base in a unauothorized storage facility. ( by base rules )

really, they are not supposed to let any vehicle stay there in the shop.

so getting help will be pretty much NIL....

that was the great thing about ALEX, he ran that shop.

i am sure it was an inside job.

just look around to see if there are any other rigs around or potential jeeps going to be lifted that hang out at the shop.

a good indicator is if guys stare a little too long at you rig.

like they are caseing you and what they can get off your rig.

i am really sorry this happened to you.
