the key to it is all about landing "properly" (no splash) and then taking off again quickly, so as to chain tricks together.

when I get scores above a million, it's all just one chain of tricks, my score is 0 until the game is over and it tallies up the total for my one chain of tricks.

you need to record it then post it up here so i can see it. i just cant get the stupid thing to swim around i end up with it upside down ans spinning around under water.
