I have to give props to Reg for this one, he sent JD a PM a ways back with a way to repair a broken synthetic line. I actually sat down today and did it and saved ourselves 180 bones for a new winch line. Not only that but I now have a 40' or so length of rope that I can use for whatever else I need!  It worked exactly as it should :o and I'll be damned if I can't get the end out of where its woven back into the rope. Thanks Reg! ;D
