New winter beater.....possible new wheeler as well

sounds good to me.

I haven't had anytime to work on the truck but I did take advantage of some july 4th sales, and picked up a clocking ring for my transfercase, going to try to get it as flat as I can. I also got a set of Poly bushings for the front leafs and shackles.

Finally got tired of looking at the TTB under the truck.

Got my "new" leafs all refurbished. New poly bushings, center pins and a little cleaning out of the rust from in between them. Got them on the truck and ready for the axle to go under. I have a few small things left on the axle, I need to get one last bracket cleaned up and to weld the tubes to the center for a little reassurance. then it can go back in. If I get enough time it should be sitting back on its own weight by this weekend. An unexpected plus is the factory Solid axle leafs that I swapped in, appear to add a little bit of lift to the front end as well.

Pulled it back apart today and got the ubolt plates all straightened out so the u bolts actually sit flat and clamp the way they are supposed to. Need to dig the ruffstuff steering kit out of the attic and start measuring and getting that going.
In with the new:
