I agree with Bob here.  Any time you see metal shavings, more then just a shimmer, in the oil of a trans, it's a sign of it being on its last leg.

You may want to start looking for a replacement.  This said, I believe a 32RH is the same as a TF999 (depending if you have a lock up converter or not).  I found this on Craigslist the other day.

$200 for a rebuilt TF999, may be good insurance for you.  Even if you don't need it right away, from the sounds of it you will eventually (possibly soon).
