Recovery points... Will this work?

(1/3) > >>

submrnman:
My brother in law just installed a set of 10,000 lb tow hooks on his rear frame rail to use as recovery points for his 94 YJ.  I am thinking of doing the same thing to my 95 YJ so I can have a set of solid recovery points for the Nov Trail Ride.  He used Grade 8 bolts and a 1/4" steel backing plate... Here's a pic.  Let me know what you think?  I'm also going to put two similar hooks on the front (thanks MrRock for the idea) for front tow points.

RnnngTrails:
Talk to Zach (CnoteTJ) about the front ones. If I recall correctly, he still has my old stock Rubicon ones that I gave him for his rig when I upgraded bumpers. I imagine he'd pay the favor forward and let you have them..

submrnman:
Awesome.  I'll drop him a line and ask him.  Thanks.

Bill3753:
If that doesn't work I have a set you can have as well.

submrnman:
Cool.  I appreciate it.  I haven't had much luck finding hooks with the correct hole spread to fit the existing holes on the front of the YJ frame.
