« on: October 24, 2010, 10:13:41 PM »
I just ordered up some parts and saved between 10-20% and got free shipping.  I figured I would pass the info along to anyone needing a few parts after yesterdays trail ride ;).

I bought Chromo shafts.  There were a lot of guys that did the Ultimate adventure with the Dana 30, chromo shafts and a locker and none of them had a problem.

Hey there BigDS
I believe(correct me if I'm wrong) that the club sent in all the members names and 4WD gave all of us our own code.  The beauty of this is that our code is associated with the club and the club gets money back on all our purchases.

You get a 10% discount but you have to order over the phone not online.

My best place for parts is the junk yard

Depends on what you need....
For general parts I look at 4wd Hardware and 4 wheel parts.  Quadratech is ok.  I also like Northridge 4x4 (small shop, great customer service).  For Diff covers you can't beat the price of Solid if you order directly from them.

Junk yards around here suck.  There is a great pick-n- pull I hit up everytime I go to Maryland.

I did 90% of my build through 4wd.com I've also used Off Road Warehouse out here in Cali, Gen Right I've called directly as they had better prices for their stuff than other on line sites. I go to the Pomona Expo out here in Cali where the vendors offer all of their stuff at a discount with free shipping if you buy it right then.  As far as diff covers go, Solid is nice, but there are a lot of "hang up points" on them. I went with the Riddler covers. they just kind of slide over whatever is in front of you in most cases and they are made of 3/8" steel.
Living in Preston. Call me if you're going wheeling!

I also agree on the Riddler diff covers as they recess the bolts slightly so you won't mash them up as much & are very smooth. Also herd the Poisen Spyder diff covers are made by Riddler. The SOLID & ARB diff covers stick out far & herd can cause clearnce issues on suspention parts but im shure in only some cases.
