New XJ seat, but now I have to get it home
« on: December 31, 2010, 10:25:33 PM »
So I'm down in Maryland and I hit up the biggest pick-n-pull I have ever seen.  I pulled a drivers side seat out of a 99 XJ that is in great shape.  The seat in my 01 has a broken frame and the foam is worn out after 207K miles.  The XJ it came out of only had 81K miles and was like new on the inside.  The seat has one small section (1/4") long where the seam is pulled apart a little, but for $35 I have never found one better.  The problem is now, how do I get it home?  We have the Liberty and the rack for the back, but The ackward shape and all the kids Chritmas presents will make it a challenge.  Some how, some way I am going to get this seat back.

I also got a mint header pannel, but it is black so I'll need to paint it hunter green.  I also picked out a power steering cooler for either the YJ's power steering or my OBA.

Nice find. Hope you got it back here. I'd like to upgrade the seats in my TJ. My driver's one bothers my back for long drives.

The seat made it back, but it is a little wet.  It is out in the garage drying ;)
