Wheelin the KJ
« on: September 02, 2010, 12:42:43 AM »
So Jess was Wheelin the KJ (Liberty) in the driveway and managed to hit the tree at the end.  This is the second time she has hit this same tree, but this time it was pretty bad.  She needs to have thebumper replaced, detroyed the tail light, took out both pieces of the rear fender flair and put a dent in the rear passenger side door.   ??? ??? ???  The estimate is going to be in the next few days.

All of this right after I just ordered 4 new tires(BFG Long Trails).  For the Military guys, Town Fair tire and the Navy exchange have a really good deal.  20% off the tires, discounted mounting and balancing and still all the same "free" stuff like front end alignment and road hazzard.  In the end I saved over $200 from retail and it was cheaper then going through Tire Rack and mounting the tires myself. ;)

The KJ is now at 155K and besides the new dents, it is still going strong.  Knock on wood.

That's more wheelin than I've done in a month. One of these days I need to get over to your place and give you your things back.

since your wife is turning the kj into a trail rig and has the dents to prove it are you planning on a SAS and a set of 35's

The plan is to eventually turn the KJ into my daily driver and get her a Tahoe of Expedition.  If we keeep it long enough it might end up as K.J.'s first rig and he can add 35's.

We got the estimate done today,  over $2800.  Jess says she was only going 5 mph :o.
