I have an Aussie in my front D30 and yes it's the same thing. it is easy to install in a couple of hours like gearhead said. this type of locker is considered a lunchbox locker, it replaces the spider and side axle gears in a diff carrier. it allows the outside tire to rotate faster when taking a corner. it's great for mid range use, up to 35's or so.
