New kid from New Milford
« on: January 04, 2010, 12:05:42 AM »
Hey everyone, the names David. I drive a 1989 Jeep cherokee with a 5.5 in lift and 33's. I'm 16 and looking to meet some people that share the love of XJ's like i do.

Here are some pics of my jeep

This is pretty recent, Front TJ flares mounted

And of course gotta have the doorless

Welcome aboard. I just switched from an 89 XJ with 6.5" of lift and 33s to a TJ this past August. That old XJ had over 240k miles on it and still ran pretty good and climbed just about everything I pointed it at.

Owning a CJ is for manly men, they allows you to do manly stuff like auto mechanics and welding and drinking beer. Manly men own CJs. Manly men do not drive hummers, they receive them.

Welcome.  My Daily Driver is an 01 XJ.  Pretty Stock for now, but I have a 2" lift and some 31" MT's for when I move back to CT (hopefully only a few more weeks ;D).   My XJ has almost 200K and still runs great.  My YJ is my toy and I too have the 8.8.  Did you swap out the 8.8's tin foil diff cover?  Nice looking XJ by the way.

I have the Rear TJ flares but ran out of nice weather to mount them. And unfortuanatley i still have stock diff covers on front and rear, doesn't seem to worry me.
