KARNS (can you say ripoff)
Axle:
I took my Tom Woods drive shaft there after the center pin busted in the CV joint. Over $400 dollars later, I had a rebuilt driveshaft. Broke less than a month later. I should have taken it back, but we had a wheelin' trip coming up and Cheekbone told me about Carolina Driveline. $150 (shipped) and I had a custom made, rebuilt CV driveshaft out of a Trailblazer from them. Over a year later, and massive abuse, it's still in Big Yeller and running strong. I refused to go there after that for anything. When I got this truck and I was toolin' around with the exhaust, I finally broke down and took the truck there so he could customize it the way I wanted it and weld it all up. Turned out really nice for $200. The only way to get a good deal through them is to be close friends with Jeff, and I mean close. Gastank is right, there's a reason Jeff drives that original Hummer!

Steve, I didn't realize those rear lines were still leaking. Brake lines are a rip off anywhere you go. The parts are cheap, but flaring ends and cutting to the right length if you can't get pre-made ones take time and they eat you alive with the labor costs.

I would have done it for a case of beer
yj93:
wow! sorry to hear about that! I think I ran all my hard lines front and rear for less than $50... :-\
