Wheel the at's, then wheel mt's. you'll change your tune VERY quickly!

Heres my opinion:
For a DD, the AT's can be beat. Long Tread Life.
For a Trail Rig/ Toy, the MT's are the way to go.

boggers belong on everything!! when i have the $ i'm putting swampers on my dd jimmy. i like road noise. i believe that for a dd it has to be a radial. for the trail toy, bias only, they flex better.

Bias ply are great for a trailer rig, but a little scarry on the road. I like the AT's for a DD since they last so long. Swampers are a lot of $$$ to have them melt off on the street. IMO you would be better off getting a second set of rims and tires and swap your swampers on before you head out for the trail, or swap them out at the trail like Rocket.

i'm actually happy with the firestones i just got. they have 9000 miles on them already and have about 80% tread left, for the light action this is going to see, they'll work just fine. the terrain i was in today was wet sandy silt type dirt roads, and i actually got some wheel hop when i tried to spin them in 2wd. but ya bias tires suck on the street, but in the rocks, the sidewalls flex like crazy and they are superb. but hey i like the thumpity thump thump as the tires round back out in the morning. lol.. if i switch to the new position at work, i'll be commuting to my desk every day, so then the swampers will be justified 8) 8)
