Just use the trim and bumper paint stuff like I did on my bumper and trim and they should look fine.  As long as they are not cracked I vote to save your $$$ and but the used ones.  They are going to get scratched when you take them off road any way.

I have a write up saved to my computer somewhere to do the fender trim, but to retain the stock flairs all the way around. That's what I'm thinking about doing. I kind of like the color matched flairs on my XJ.

The older XJ's have more room then the 97+ before cuttting.  Roger if you cut yours you could move up to 35's ;D.

That is the plan, but I'd have to regear to do 35s. Mine is bad enough with 33s.
