why not
« on: June 11, 2009, 03:01:16 AM »
What is the deal. I think i've googled for pretty much every rock crawling and after market jeep parts dealer in the country, and i still come up with nothing new or innovative. For instance, you know those featured rigs they show on all the covers of JP, 4wheel and Offroad, etc, etc, that all seem to have those sick, nasty parts on them, like badass bumbers, fiberglass hoods, front end cage kits, and other crap like that. Why the hell cant i seem to find any places online that supply that kind of stuff.  And the only sites i do find with true rock crawlin roots, are more buggy centered than anything else. What the hell!!

Those rigs are 75% or more hand built with one off custom parts.  You have two choices, learn how to build the stuff your self and invest in the tools to do so, or pay someone to build the stuff for you.  Here is a link to a custom shop here in CT.  The guy who owns it brought his 4 runner to TFT and wheeled the piss out of it.  I'm sure if you can dream it and have the $$ he can build it.  If you call I would ask for Jamon and tell him you are a member of JT4x4.

Seeing as you have one of those jeep things, Check out Clayton Offroad as well.  I drive a Zuk, so custom sort of comes with it. (well, once it's back together I will drive it.) ::)
