Welcome (back, I guess!!!!)

There are a few things you will need to do to be voted in as a member:
1.  Attend a meeting, held the first Tuesday every month
2. Attend a cruise, usually once a month when the weather is nice.  We just meet up in a parking lot with our rigs, hang out and draw some attention to potentially let new members know who we are.
3.  Attend a trail ride.  Again usually once a month, but the trail difficulty varies, so depending on how well your rig is built you may or may not be able to get on a trail ride easily.
4.  Be a good guy, and you'll get voted in without a problem.

Brad stopped by my place today to drop off my compressor and said you are interested in joining up.  What kind of rig do you have?/ specs.  I think Brad said you have a TJ w/ 33's???

Cruises and Trail Rides are posted up on the non-member side about a week in advance, so check back to find out dates and times.  The next meeting will be on June 2nd, most likely at 7.

does that mean if one was to attend just one meeting because say, they live 70 miles from groton and have no one to watch their kids on tuesday nights, they would be excused from the rest of the meetings and could just participate in the members side of the forum for club descisions??  or would they be required to attend every meeting thereafter being voted in??

If you meet the other 2 requirements, then technically you meet the requirements for someone to motion for you to be voted in.  I'm not on the board of directors and they could give you further clarification, but the big thing is regular participation in some way.  Few members make every meeting, but during the warmer months we usually see people once a month or so at some meeting or event.

The biggest difference to the members side is we can talk about locations of trails, since we don't want everyone knowing.  The legal places to go wheeling in new england are guarded like the recipe for Coke ;).  Too many trails in NE have been shut down by people not following the Tread Lightly policy, so the trails we do have left are for people who will wheel responsibly.  If you look on other forums you will see how many trails both private and public have been shut down.  When I first started wheeling in NE it seemed kind of "stuck up" or "snobby" thing for the clubs to keep the trail info private, but after a short time I realized why it has to be that way.

Ya the meetings are hard for me, but weekend meets are no problem, I'll probably bring my kids along.

Pics and videos are always good.  Best place to post them is in the Pics and Videos section, just make a new thread for BNP.

Looking forward to meeting you ;)

We are a kid friendly club.  Several of us have been known to wheel with car seats ;D

I won't mind wheeling with my 2 year old, but my daughter is still just 8 months, so she gets to walk with mommy :D
