Jeremy, how did it go? For me the hardest part was lining up the oil pan when putting things back together. I wish I could have come out and helped, but I had a previous engagement.

PaulW:
my oil pan gasket came with the little plastic barbs that thread into the holes for the oil pan and hold the pan and gasket in place until you can get the rest of the bolts started.

Overall it went well.  due to the lift, the pan had plenty of clearance to come off/on.  We used a one-peice fel-pro rubber gasket w/ crush sleves, so no worries about the torque!  The hardest part was pushing the upper part of the seal out.  I had to use a long, narrow punch w/ a hammer, but was a little worried about scraching the inside, but it seemd to do fine.  Jeep is back together in my driveway.

Any good tips or tricks?  It looks like TJ777 will need to do one soon.  He switch to Full Synthetic and the rear main seal has a small leak.
