finally had some time to get out and help a fellow board member.  had some beers saved brian hours of unnecessary frustration.  guess he wheeled a little harder then he had originally thought.  damn skid plate bashing the t-case.  I may have not been of a lot of help but at least i was able to aleviate your fridge of all that unnecessary beer :D















when we got done with the taco we went to town on his wifes car.....

denting taco skids seems to be a problem around here.  Anyone want to go into business building better ones than what exist?

but we found a good way to bend it back.  it actually worked enough so that it wasn't hitting anymore.

How thick are those skids?  Aftermarket Jeep skids are 3/16 -1/4 " thick depending on who makes them.

Have to admit...I do photgraph well.

That skid is a Skidrow plate. I think it is also about 3/16.

But seriously glad I could help, It was kinda fun having to get back under a 4x4.  I mean i've just gotten so
accostumed to bringing my junk to work and setting it up on the lift and being able to use all the air tools and walk under the vehicles that i've forgotten what grass roots wrenching was about.
did the mall acutally work?  i tried to beat mine but it is still bent.  any one have a 40# hammer?
Surprisingly it did.  we had to pry a little bit to get the bolts to line up, but it worked enough to get it off the transfer case.  and Brian learned some new wrenching tips also.
