need help with a quick weld job

I have just finished making weld-able tow points.

I just need some nice person to help me out on the weld.

Should be a fairly quick weld job.

They are 1"x3" steel to go on my rear bumper.

Seabee_BUC:
I would do it but I can only weld up to 1/4" with my welder. The penetration won't be what you would need for 1" steel. They would break off the first good pull...

That's gotta be the length and height, not the thickness.  How thick is the mount plate?  Scott, you can do up to 3/8's with multiple passes, right?

Seabee_BUC:
That's not quite how it works Justin. The first pass should achieve a certain amount of penetration before multiple passes are made if you want it to hold properly. Otherwise it's just a molten bead being layed onto a piece of steel with no real bond. Each consecutive pass should penetrate the previous one, not just be layed over the previous one...

DImensions:
The weld-able mount I have made is 3" long (top to bottom)
and 1" thick. (it is about 2.5 inches front to back, but I don't think that matters, since only the back will touch the bumper)

The bumper is made of 1/4" steel (I am pretty sure)
