Axle saved the day today with the 44 swap. When i read on stu olson's website about an axle swap he did it didn't seem so difficult. I should have known though! Anyway axle really bailed me out so many thanks to him! i'll post pics of the new & improved rig soon!

Axle:
Any time, Dingo.   ;)

I'll second the fact that it is much harder then it seems on-line.  I managed to drive my Jeep for the first time in over a month, but I swapped both axles. ;)  No emergency brakes yet, I didn't buy enough parts.  I thought I could get away with just the 1/8" cable ends, but I need the 3/16 ends for the u-bolts.  Biggest difference, I can fell is the change to 4.10 gears, WOW!  My Jeep has some balls again!!!  I might even bring it to the meeting tomorrow.

Axle:
Congrats, I didn't realize that you had finished.  The last post I read about it, you were almost done.  If you ever put chromoly shafts in the 8.8, it's almost bullet proof.  Don't forget the friction additive!  I didn't know to put any in mine when I initially did the swap, so I had an open rear even with the LS in it!  I still have to add it with the locker installed, since it's a limited slip when it's turned off.

BayouGold:
hey bring it tonight kirk.
