 just bit the bullet & lightened the wallet considerably & bought a dana 44 bolt-in assy. for the rear. 30 spline,4.56's ox locked :o

30 spline alloy chromolys, ox/eaton. front locker will have to wait a while, i'll get the shafts/gears & get it to pete hopefully end of nov.

Sweet...Where did you get it from? Is it an aftermarket axle?

Not a cool a custom built axle, but I am headed to pic up an 8.8 with 4:10 gears and a LSD.  I also just ordered new U-bolts.  The Tom Woods Drive shaft I bought came with the 1310 to Ford 8.8 adaptor.  Hopefully I can get it in the Jeep in about a week or so.  Hard to pass up a complete axle for $220.

You'll like the 8.8.  Just don't forget to weld the tubes to the center section in a few spots on each side.  The 8.8's weakness is tube spin.
